This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I have several sections of astronomy. I recently found old 35mm slides from transmission of Apollo and Voyager missions and want to show students these amazing events, giving them a deep connection to time and space beyond their world! This slide viewer donation will allow students to see these films in a unique and meaningful way.

Students will see how science and technology worked together to allow humans to explore beyond our Earth.

Students will see how history and science interact and how humans can harness the power of science to explore beyond our physical abilities.
