My Project

Your contribution will help create a thriving outdoor classroom for hands-on learning and environmental education. Our school garden project combines traditional gardening with hydroponics to maximize space and sustainability. It features culturally relevant plants, connecting students to their heritage while teaching innovative growing techniques and promoting hands-on STEM learning.

The goal of the school garden project is to foster a cultural connection.

Students will grow plants reflecting their diverse heritages, fostering pride and connection to their cultural roots. This project will also promote sustainability. Students will utilize hydroponics to teach water-efficient and sustainable farming techniques.

Additionally, this project will enhance STEM Learning by providing hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math through innovative gardening methods.

It will also encourage healthy eating habits by exposing students to fresh, homegrown produce.

My students will build life skills as well. Using these materials will teach responsibility, teamwork, and problem-solving through garden maintenance and care while cultivating a welcoming environment for all students to learn and engage in meaningful ways. Working with the AquaSprouts Garden and gardening tools will instill awareness of environmental impact and the importance of sustainable practices. It will also strengthen community ties by engaging families and local communities by incorporating culturally meaningful crops and garden events.

This project aims to empower students academically, culturally, and environmentally while enriching their school and community.
