My Project

This fall I will welcome a new class of Kindergartners to my room. For many of these children this will be a first experience in a classroom.

To provide a smooth transition, it is essential that their classroom is organized and ready for their success before their arrival.

The supplies I am asking for in this project will allow me to stock the classroom with items needed for labeling, organizing, and scaffolding independence in the first fall days of Kindergarten.

Through this project I specifically hope to provide my upcoming students with many items. The labels I am asking for will be used to make a text rich environment as well as to delineate where supplies are located and ownership of such things as cubbies, folders, and lockers. The zip pouches are a very sturdy and secure way to organize supplies as well as lunch money or tickets used during our day. Baby wipes, in a classroom of littles that has no sink, are essential. They provide a way to clean hands and working environments independently as well as assist in our never ending battle to stop the spread of germs. Laminate, as any primary staff knows, is a teacher's best friend - making sure new supplies are able to withstand small hands as we build our community and gain independence with routines.
