My Project

In 2nd grade, we learn so much! A few things coming up in our curriculum include: measuring, counting money, landforms, & communities.

My students get excited about learning-especially when they are up out of their seat, moving around the classroom, and using manipulatives to help them grasp the learning concepts.

When students learn about measuring in math, they will love using the meter stick with a partner to measure things around the classroom. In our money unit, they can make different amounts using the magnetic coins and quiz their classmates. In science, they study landforms, and these cards show each with a colorful photo and clear description. In our Social Studies Community unit, students can put puzzle pieces together to learn about different service jobs in our community; the global community books will open their eyes to how communities in other parts of the world live and celebrate. Finally, I've included some white board erasers and teacher stamps to replenish our current ones

All of these items will be used by my students as they learn in my classroom throughout the year and by future students in the years to come. Thank you for helping to make the learning come alive for them!
