This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a great class this year. They are ready and eager to learn a lot. My students have the desire to learn to read and especially love science. But we have a limited amount of science reading materials to read

My children want and need to learn about the world around, but since we live in a low income area resources are hard to get.Most of us are on the free lunch program, but that doesn't stop our interest in pursuing our dreams.

We are hard working and just need a little help from great donors to add that little bit to our curriculum.

My Project

Scholastic Magazine will provide my students with an opportunity to see and learn about the world around them without the need to leave the classroom. It is such and interesting and essential magazine for my first graders because it provides them with a great amount of information and is designed to build on their reading level. My students get so excited waiting for each and every magazine to see what they will be learning about next.

The great thing about Scholastic Magazine is that it provides a Science Spin magazine, too.

This magazines brings science to life with topics that interest my first graders and we always learn something new.

Scholastic News also provides online resources, videos and additional materials that make learning fun.
