Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an Early Childhood Special Education teacher, I have seen how many students with a variety of special needs benefit from the use of color. These color visuals help promote language and literacy, pattern and color recognition, and visual stimulation/ engagement. Unfortunately, as a low income school that serves a low income minority population, color printing in large quantities is scarce and nearly impossible to do. Being that most of our curriculum materials or activities are printed, it has become a challenge to rely on the weekly use of the Staples printing center.

By donating to our project, you will help our preschool special education students receive a colorful quality education that will contribute to a well established educational foundation.

This printer will be used to create sorting activities, print recognition, visual schedules, color contrast materials for students with visual impairments, and image cards/ boards that are used for communication.
