Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

On a yearly basis my Peer Counselors make classroom presentation on a variety of topics from mental health, inclusion to prevention in the areas of school violence. My students are preparing their presentations on Say Something. This is part of the Sandy Hook Promise initiative on violence prevention.

This school year they are eager to start but would really like to design and create t-shirts with the Say Something logo.

Being in a Title 1 school means over 85% of our students are on free and reduced lunch. Getting this project funded would give them the opportunity to use their creativity designing the shirts, printing the design and ironing their designs to their shirts with the t-shirts, infusible ink, and heat transfer.
