My Students

I work in an urban school with minimal resources. It is a trauma-sensitive school in the heart of town. I would like my students to come to school and not worry about school supplies.

My students are high energy and can be very engaging with the right tools.

They look for positive stimuli to help them focus on learning.

I have a multi-cultural mix of students from urban America, Africa, and South America. Their reading levels range from Kindergarten to 3rd grade. They can be very excited with manipulatives that concretize their learning.

I'm looking forward to educating them to be successful adults in a life-long adventure of learning!

My Project

My students work very hard with engaging tools. We are looking to have access to the work they do on the computer. They read daily on the computer and have to answer questions. The headsets I can get break every few weeks. A better quality headset will keep them engaged for the duration.

It is highly motivating to print results to show parents at home what they have been working on in school.

When we have parents as partners because they can see the students work and progress in school, we create a win/win situation! This is why having a printer in the classroom is necessary!
