My Project

The essence of our project is a mirror, but not just any mirror. It's designed to help our special needs students see and recognize their feelings, which can often be a daunting task for them. For many of these students, connecting with their own emotions and communicating them to others is a significant challenge. These mirrors aim to bridge this gap.

The ability to recognize, understand, and express emotions is vital for the well-being of all individuals.

For our special needs students, this skill can greatly impact their social integration, academic success, and overall mental health.

By supporting this project, you'll be helping these students recognize their emotions. The mirror will be paired with visual cues and prompts, aiding students in connecting facial expressions with specific feelings.

The students will also learn how to express themselves. With practice, students can better communicate their feelings to teachers, peers, and family. Students will also develop emotional intelligence by using these mirrors. Understanding emotions is the first step in managing them. Over time, this tool can help students develop greater empathy and emotional regulation.
