Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are members of a low-income community and are Hispanic, English language learners. Many of them have at-risk factors that may hinder them in their educational career. They lack experiences, resources, and support that would make learning easier.

Although they face many challenges in their lives, my students are young, curious, impressionable and eager to learn.

They attend school every day and have a positive attitude that I love! My students will be successful with the right tools, supporters like you and me by their side to inspire a lifelong love for learning.

My Project

I currently teach two full periods of Math and Science. We are a little crowded in our classroom so it is hard to keep children from sneaking a peak on each other's work. That is why I would love to receive the privacy partitions. The cut out they have is a bonus for me so that I may monitor that the students are on task.

Since we are crowded all the other items will help store our materials in a clean and neat way with easy access so that we may not waste time when getting our supplies.

I plan to store math supplemental aids that students can use during STAAR testing. Easy access to these items will allow students to practice using these items routinely which will benefit them greatly on their big TEST day.
