Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school's end-of-the-year celebration theme is the Movies. Second grade is an important year as they prepare for third grade in which they will face the challenges of statewide testing. It is their last year as primary students. Our second grade student body is composed of many students that have just arrived in the country are faced with the pressure of learning a new language. The end of the year is our time to celebrate and showcase all the students.

Having newly arrived students participate alongside their peers will create a diverse environment for education, socialization, and individual development, enhancing their overall welfare and assimilation into the community.

Your donations will our second grade immigrant students the opportunity to participate and perform SING. For many of these children, it is the first time they will be putting on a performance in front of their parents and family members. Students will be performing excerpts from "SING." We need decorations and accessories to make the students shine and show their musical talents. Decorating the cafeteria with blow up instruments, animal headpieces, and awards will be fantastic for everyone!
