My Students

My school is located in Harlem and is a high poverty population that includes a high shelter and foster care children. Many of these children come from broken homes and eagerly face each challenge I pose to them and love to give hugs. I am encouraged everyday when I see the growth in them in such a short time.

Please help me to give them a chance to continue to grow and foster the creativity they all have inside them.

My Project

The materials and supplies in this project will allow me to create an environment that is both organized and inviting. The storage bins will organize art materials and math manipulatives neatly on the shelves for easy access for the students. The cart and file organizers will help me to keep papers and reading workshop materials organized and ready to use.

Special needs students benefit from an structured and productive atmosphere in classroom.

The bins will also help to make materials will be easier to find and put away for them. The students will be more autonomous and take ownership of their learning.
