Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Starting off a great second grade with amazing SWD and ENL kids. These kids are hard workers and are learning all about working together and working to respect and tolerate their unique differences. Many of our kids are new to this country and to school! Learning English, American customs and how to be a great citizen is just one of our class goals. Some of us need a quiet area to relax in the class, some need reading buddies and all of us need a private area to read, write and take assessments.

My Project

In our second-grade classroom personal space is tough to come by! When we are testing or just need a defined personal area we need privacy shields. We currently use folders that always fall over or start arguments that a peer is encroaching on their personal desk space. Help us get these privacy shields so we can avoid arguments and focus on being the best students we can!

Other uses for privacy shields are giving students an area where they can calm down or give each student a quiet personal area to read.

Being in a packed classroom, getting distracted is easy! these shields help students focus on the task at hand.
