Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a very precocious bunch! They live in a low socio-economic area that has limited resources. Supplies for them to learn are scarce, so they heavily rely on what the school can offer. being in a school setting always brings them joy.

They enjoy learning about the world around them.

Much of their curiosity comes from discovering things that are far from their reach.

My Project

These projects will make a difference for my students because they are often not typically exposed to a lot of reading at an early age. their language skills are limited and having programs that will help them be better readers and writers will make a world of difference. The book collection will offer an opportunity to get to know characters that may share the same feelings they have during social distancing. Reading that shows characters dealing with real life and social-emotional experiences will foster their emotional development.

Including literature in their lessons will foster their analytical skills that will transfer into their writing.

Reading is an essential skill for my students to become fluent readers that will inevitably transfer to their writing. Providing them with a digital program offers a fun way to learn rich vocabulary and spelling, making it much more engaging for them. This product will be accessible from home for class use and home practice.
