My Project

Our Second Graders are so enthusiastic about reading! They have become engaged not just with the act of reading but all of the activities we can do with both literature and expository text.

I wanted to keep thier enthusiasm by hosting a Second Grade Book Club.

During class we will read The World According to Humphrey by Betty G. Birney. With this literature piece we will focus on the theme of the story (which is making a positive difference in the lives of others) and then have a year end community service project in our school community to impact Adrian Elementary School. Students will vote on which project we will put into action.

By receiving this book donation, I am hoping to reach each of my students with their continued love for reading and show them making a positive change can begin right here in our school community.
