This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students spend a lot of time in school. As an educator we try to make our classrooms as unique, comfortable, and motivating for students. One area that sometimes gets overlooked is the sit down area. This is one of the main places where wel have great conversations.

Rugs are an important part of a classroom.

Students can enjoy a book, share stories, do projects, and relax on these rugs. When we have a lack of them, we have to sit on the hardwood floor and sometimes those floors are icky. By having the square rugs the students will be able to use them and put them away so that they are not step on as much or get as dirty.
