Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a melting pot of ethnicitys and personalities with over 90% of students receive free and reduced lunch. We accept all students, regardless of disability or background. Each child is accepted for their individuality, differences, and backgrounds.

Our classroom is a special education classroom that serves students in grades K-5.

We have a mixture of students with emotional behavior disorders as well as Autism. This class is an amazing bunch of kids with varying academic and social needs.

My Project

Many of my students are diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, ODD and various learning disabilities. Having a choice in their seating allows them to make choices and feel as though they have more control of their environment. The various types of seating we are requesting can also help with various sensory struggles.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

The donations for this project will also improve my classroom by reducing the amount of behavioral issues, because I will be able to provide a more appropriate environment that my students need, but cannot always voice, due to their disabilities.
