Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a high school English teacher. First and foremost, I strive to create a safe, inviting, comfortable classroom environment for my students. In my opinion, a happy student is far more willing to learn. The foundation of this philosophy relies on physical comfort.

My current student chairs were bought with a special grant.

The money is now gone and we are left with chairs that looked lovely in the beginning, but quickly proved impractical in a classroom setting. The metal backs bend easily. Many chairs are so misshapen now that my kids can't even lean back in the slightest. I am looking to replace the chairs with studier ones that my students don't have to worry about breaking.

Any help you can provide me is so appreciated. I simply cannot afford to buy these chairs on my own. Thank you!
