My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Giving them options of where and how they are working helps to keep them on task. Their comfort is my goal.

Right now, students are sitting in various places is the room that they find most comfortable: under desks, asking to stand at my standing desk, in the corners on cushions.

The standing desk would give a better option for students that can't sit still and learn, giving them the freedom to stand and move. The comfy chairs and rotating bookshelves will add to a comfy and organized reading nook for students to lose themselves in a book.

I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
