Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is a Title I, at-risk school, with a population of over 70% English Language Learners. Our school provides 100% free breakfast and lunch for our students.

At our school, we work hard to accomplish our dreams and goals, and most importantly, become successful.

Students come in from every walk of life imaginable. Upon walking into our classrooms, you will see a diverse group of students who share the same love for school and friendship. While all the students are so different, they all share the same strong desire for learning and success.

Our students strive for greatness every day, regardless of where they come from. Many of our students come from families living in poverty or from a country they moved from only days ago. No matter the obstacles faced, they are resilient children who work hard every day to do well and learn to the best of their ability.

Students spend hours in the classroom and it should always be comfortable and well-structured for them.

The metal stools will provide sturdy and comfortable seating for the students meeting with me during small group instruction. The treasure box prizes along with my treasure box will be used to reward students and encourage them to try their hardest every day. The headphones will provide students with vital listening tools when working with their computers. The presentation clicker will allow me to be completely involved and mobile during whole group instruction. The bulletin board materials will provide a student-led tracking system to keep track of their hard work & motivate them to reach the top! The clear lockbox will store their incentive prizes to always be a reminder to work their hardest!

This project will give each of my students a personal and comfortable space for their Small Group Learning!
