My Students

Dr. Seuss once wrote, "the more that you read, the more things you will know," and my firsties love to know things. They enjoy books tremendously but with tight desk and room spaces it is challenging to keep books safe and also in close proximity to every student to encourage them to read.

My students are amazing!

They are genuine hard workers and very enthusiastic. They are very precious to me. Many of the students are a part of military families. They live without one of their parents because the parent is serving our country. Other students move to or from the school in the middle of the year due to their parents' dedication to our country. For their dedication and sacrifice, they deserve the world.

My Project

With the seat sacks the students will learn organizational skills. They will learn to care for books. They will be able to quickly retrieve reading materials they have chosen to read that is on their reading level. This will allow them more time to learn and to learn to enjoy reading during down time.

I am a new teacher.

I cannot provide all that these students deserve alone. For their families' dedication to our country they deserve an organized and cleanly run classroom and the seat sacks will make that happen.
