Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching 1st grade reading requires the children to have many decodable books to read. I want their books very accessible during their reading time. I want their paper decodable books protected from the other books in their desks and I want to prevent looking for their books in a group table bin. When it’s time for a reading independently center, my students will just turn in their seats and grab the book and reading. Having these seat sacks will allow the students to take advantage of the full 10 minutes enjoying reading.
