My Students

My students are the youngest of our learners! Many come into my classroom without going to preschool. Many do not have experiences that you and I consider very routine! Our school has sixty-five to seventy percent of our students on the free ir reduced price lunch program. Despite, the poverty that surrounds many of these children, they overcome! Our team (teachers, parents, and students) works hard to get these children where they need to be! I am so proud to be a part of this team!

These children come to me with very little experiences, but with a desire and excitement to learn!

It is my goal to make learning a privilege and something they enjoy, not a chore and something they dread! These children appreciate all of the experiences I try to give them in the two years I have them!

My Project

By having seat sacks to place each child things we will save time! Time seems to be so tight right now and if we can eliminate the “going” to find what we need - which always turns into a social time- we will have more time for the learning! Keeping our things in a seat sack will help with distractions! In Kindergarten and 1st supplies, folders, white boards on the tables become a distraction and make it hard for my sweet students to stay focused and on task! Seat sacks will provide them with a distraction free area and yet have everything at their fingertips!
