My Students

Do you remember how proud you were to have your very first school supplies? My kindergarten students need a place to keep their supplies neat and orderly. We need seat sacks! We have so many folders, books, and journals to work in. We need a place to store our things neatly.

My students live in a low income neighborhood in Arkansas.

The community values education and the school culture is one of pride and respect. My students come to school on time every day filled with excitement about what they will learn. Many of my students did not have learning opportunities before the first day of kindergarten. They are enthusiastic about learning and they are proud of their ability to do things that they were never able to try before. I love to see their love for learning every day!

My Project

My students love to work and record their thoughts and learning. I would love to give my students more independence by storing their own supplies right at their seat. Seat sacks will let my students be in charge of their own writing journal, math folder, science folder, and nursery rhyme folder. They can also store their library book in their seat sack so they can take it out and read whenever they have extra time. Right now, we have all of these things stored in different places of the classroom. This requires these supplies being passed out and collected each time we use them. The whole procedure takes away from our instructional time.

We need seat sacks to help us be more independent and organized!

Seat sacks will help us keep all of our learning materials organized and easily within reach. My students love learning and they deserve the best!
