Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are diagnosed with autism and other disabilities. They face challenges brought on by their diagnosis everyday and struggle to communicate. They all come from low income areas and each student uses an AAC device for communication. Despite they’re disabilities they strive and work hard every single day and come in everyday with big smiles on their faces, eager and ready to learn. My students are each very special in their own ways and I am determined to whatever I can to help meet their needs.

My Project

My students need 6 seat sacks to assist them with independently organizing their communication devices, notebooks, schedules and other supplies as well as keeping them within reach. Our students are all on the autism spectrum and struggle to communicate and they all use communication devices. Seat Sacks would be a great item for them to have so that they are able to store they’re things safely and to also reduce losing time during instruction to get up and get things they would be able to just easily turn around and get what they need without losing focus and be able to stay engaged in the lesson and allow a smooth transition.
