My Students

I teach at a school in New York. Many of our students are natives of our city and some hail from different states and countries. They come from a wide variety of backgrounds and bring with them unique strengths and experiences. The students in my class are thoughtful and enthusiastic learners. They come to school every day prepared for challenges and they strive to be their best selves. They are kind and deeply care for their school community. They like to have fun, to be engaged, to have their voices heard and to share their opinions. They like to be challenged and to feel supported. They inspire me every day.

My Project

These seat sacks are needed for new chairs that were purchased through a separate Donors Choose campaign (thank you to all who made that happen!). Storage in my classroom is limited, so students will use the seat sacks to store their notebooks, writing tools, and other class materials. It will help them stay organized throughout the day. In addition to seat sacks, I am also asking for a dry erase board easel that I can use for small group or one on one instruction. The dry erase easel is smaller and can be easily moved to different areas around the room. This will give me the flexibility I need to conference with students in different areas around the room.
