Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd grade students arrive each day, and are eager to learn in their neighborhood. These children are always up for new challenges and love learning new information in all subject areas. They live in a high poverty, multi-cultural community in the South Bronx, and the majority of them come from low-income families, often with temporary housing. My class consists of one teacher and 30 diverse students, who do not always have the necessary tools and/or supplies to support their everyday learning.

My Project

New Chairback Buddy storage bags would allow for students to store and better organize their reading materials, as well as some of their daily school supplies.

Daily, students organize their reading and school materials in seat storage bags that are dirty, written on, and tattered.

They have been passed down over the years, and are in great need of replacement. Many students do not have a place to put their belongings and reading materials. With your generous donation, you would be helping my students obtain much needed organizational materials that would help brighten up their personal work space, as well as, our classroom environment.
