Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For the upcoming school year, I will continue work as a first grade self-contained ASD teacher. I'm glad to teach 13 exceptional students on the autism spectrum. My energetic kids have difficulty sitting still or remaining focused for extended periods. They may display restlessness, constant movement, or frequent fidgeting behaviors.

They come into the classroom daily and amaze me with what they can learn and achieve.

At the same time, they face several challenges daily, but they are always excited to learn and participate. I am blessed to work with such a great group of students.

The wobble chairs and the chair bands provide a constructive outlet for their need to move, improving their ability to concentrate and engage in learning activities. Understanding and accommodating their needs can also lead to a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.

These materials provide sensory input and reduce restlessness. They can particularly beneficial for students with Autism, ADHD, or sensory processing challenges.
