Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn, curious and a joy to teach. They are deserving of the best possible education and that is what I strive to provide for them. My school, located in East Palo Alto, serves Latino, Polynesian, and African-American students.

Nearly all of my students come from low-income households where the resources are often limited and families are stretched thin.

A large percentage of our families meet the definition of homeless. I am trying to teach them how to use technology and at the same time, learn language arts, math, science, and social studies. I am committed to offering them the best possible education.

My Project

One of the challenges in the classroom is keeping all of our materials and supplies organized and easy to find. These large seatback storage pouches will enable the students to keep their individual journals, supplies, and materials right there so they can easily find them. The pouches have several pockets so students can keep the supplies and materials for math and literacy separate.

Your donation will make a big difference by helping students learn to be organized.

It will give them a convenient place to keep their own supplies. Having all of these materials close by will help maximize our learning time so students won't waste time looking for things and moving around the classroom. All of the tools they need for their daily work will be right there at their fingertips!
