Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items needed for my classroom are all supporting the use of SEAL teaching strategies in my classroom. The past year I have been trained in a program called SEAL that puts the whole student first. SEAL makes learning a creative and engaging experience. This year I have implemented several SEAL strategies, and have noticed an immense shift in the confidence of my students and their ability to learn.

SEAL strategies have given all of my students access to curriculum and meets all of their learning styles.

I am genuinely passionate about SEAL and the way it gives students hands on experiences. Students who rarely participated in class before are now raising their hands several times within a lesson to show what they know and be apart of a safe and open learning environment. This work is transformative and I hope to continue it with many classes to come.
