In class, we will be reading Scribble Stones, the best-selling book by Diane Alber. It shares a powerful lesson taught in a colorful and engaging way for students. This story starts off with a little stone who thinks he will be become something amazing but soon realizes he has become a dull paper weight. On mission to become something greater, he meets colorful scribble and splatter, and they find a creative way to bring joy to thousands of people.
Scribble stone art projects inspire creativity and spread happiness through collaborative art.
We are so excited to try this new art form in our classes. We are inspired to make some scribble stones of our own! I am requesting stones for my students to paint. Students will have the ability to paint the stone freely or follow the scribble stone guide book that we currently own.
