My Project

Students have expressed an unwavering interest in learning how to use a DJ controller so that they can develop the technological and musical skill sets needed to be a DJ. Learning to use a DJ controller can offer students a variety of benefits that extend beyond just music skills.

DJ'ing can help enhance digital literacy, and technical problem-solving skills, boost creativity, teach time management and organization, improve focus and attention to detail, develop math and pattern recognition, foster social skills and collaboration, encourage patience and persistence, expand cultural awareness through different genres of music, increase student confidence, improve emotional regulation and stress management, and can connect to career and college opportunities.

In short, learning to use a DJ controller isn’t just about mixing tracks—it's a dynamic, multifaceted skill that can have a lasting impact on a middle schooler's development, from technical expertise to emotional intelligence.
