My Students

"Risk more than others think is safe. Care more than others think is wise. Dream more than others think is practical. Expect more than others think is possible." I feel this quote every day in the classroom. I want to give everything I have so I can inspire and encourage my students.

My students are the sweetest children EVER!

They love unconditionally and try their hardest to succeed but face so many challenges on a daily basis. Sometimes all they need is an extra push, an extra bit of motivation... a fun project to keep them fueled for the month.

My Project

An after school club of scrapbooking and bracelet making would help kids see that school is not only a place of work, work, work, but a safe and comfortable place to make memories. This would be a great way to "sneak" in the learning with fun and exciting projects. We'll sneak in writing with our scrapbooks, patterns with the bracelets, and lots of fun. This is also an incentive to help the kids keep up academically!

I truly believe that some kids need an extra push to stay motivated in school.

Sometimes it's the after school clubs that help children to feel motivated and successful. This is what I hope this project will bring to my students. Without scrapbooks and bracelet material, this after school program will be pretty tough. With these materials we can express our creativity, create memories, and have an ongoing project that will help my students experience success.
