My Students

After-school programs can be incredibly rewarding for students in my school. Arts and crafts make it even more exciting for kids! Help bring art to life in our scrapbooking after-school program!

Our students are hard-working children.

They come to school daily, motivated to learn and be active participants. Art is a major love from students in grades 3-5 in our school. Most children don't have the opportunities to create something beautiful to share with their family and friends. With this project, we hope to bring joy to their lives!

My Project

I am requesting materials to be used by students in grades 3-5 for an after-school scrapbooking class. Students in after-school, work through enrichment that they are inspired by. Many students in our school have chosen to work with our Principal and myself in an art-based project creating individual scrapbooks. There are 3 sessions of this after school because it is so popular with the kids! We are asking for scrapbooks for each student, paper to supply each of their books, paper for decorating, scissors, markers, and glue sticks. All the supplies in this project will be used hands-on by the students. Their scrapbooks will include many personal pictures, and they will want to decorate them beautifully! In order to keep supplies tidy from class to class, we are also asking for organizers for the paper and markers.

Art is something that students can all relate to.

This project is enrichment, where the students can express themselves freely. I think it's incredibly important for students in elementary schools to be involved with art and build their knowledge of different ways to be crafty! I know they will be so proud when their books are done and they can share them with the school!
