Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Scrabble is a fun way to increase vocabulary, improve spelling skills, and have fun!

The Scrabble Club is open to students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.

These middle school students are very enthusiastic learners. The school is a Title I school, which means the majority of our students are economically disadvantaged. In addition, English is not the first language of the majority of our students. Playing Scrabble would help these English language learners strengthen vocabulary and spelling skills.

My Project

Our students would love the opportunity to participate in a fun club that...shhhh...don't tell them...increases their vocabulary and spelling skills! The Scrabble Club will meet about once a week. During this time, the students will learn playing strategies that not only help them win the game, but also help them learn valuable skills!

Donation dollars to purchase Scrabble games will make a huge difference to our students!

If the boards are not donated, the club will not be able to exist. With your donation, we can start our Scrabble Club and help our students have fun while improving valuable learning skills!
