My Project

My 7th-grade students are curious, energetic, and eager to learn—but they don’t always see how science connects to their everyday lives. As a Title I urban school, many of my students face challenges outside the classroom, yet they thrive when given hands-on, engaging learning opportunities. I want to inspire them to see physics not just as equations in a textbook, but as something real, exciting, and all around them—especially in the sports they love!

To bring physics to life, we need sports equipment like soccer balls, footballs, and other sports equipment.

Through interactive lessons, students will explore concepts like force, motion, gravity, and energy transfer by kicking soccer balls, shooting goals, and racing against one another. These hands-on activities will make abstract physics concepts tangible and relatable, sparking a deeper understanding and appreciation for science.

Our school has limited resources, and many of my students don’t have access to quality sports equipment outside of school. Your donation will help us create a dynamic learning environment where students can experience science in action, stay active, and build confidence in their abilities. With your support, we can transform our classroom into a physics playground where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
