Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a small High School in the South Bronx. We have six varsity sport teams that have minimal funds to support of all the teams. Last year we focused on getting students new uniforms and updated equipment. This year we are trying to continue to improve our program but of course with less allocation of funds.

This year we are trying to update the scoreboard we use for three of our varsity team.

The Girls Varsity Volleyball, Boys Varsity Basketball, and Girls Varsity Badminton team would be able to utilize an updated and fully functional scoreboard.

In addition, the physical education classes will be able to use the scoreboard while participating in class. The students enjoy and get excited to watch the scoreboard reflect the hard work they are doing while participating in team games during class. It is an extra motivation for them and is also a helpful teacher tool to keep track of scoring.
