My Students
At our school, we educate young students in 3K & Pre-K. Our students come to us at different levels and ability. We strive to support and educate our students across various curriculum, and my focus is Physical Education, which plays a big part in child development.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Some are attending school for the first time, while others are joining us after completing another pre-school program.
I run a Physical Education program that focuses on early childhood development and motor skills. Students will be growing and learning in my classroom using many different skills, enhancing gross and fine motor skills, building strength & endurance, and hopefully starting a love for taking part in physical activity.
My Project
As a Physical Education teacher for 3K and Pre-K, I want students to have various opportunity to develop physical skills. Through many of our units of study, we work on developing control and coordination of large muscle groups. We want students to learn to move purposefully from place to place with control using various methods.
One of our units of study involves using RIDE-ON SCOOTERS, to help students play and learn about their bodies and how they move.
The objective of this unit is to allow students to explore in play and games that will help them to learn how to use coordination and complex movements with control. During this unit, we play various games with scooters, like setting up obstacle courses for them to move through and have races.
