My Students

Having enough scooters to go around is a problem we are facing in my gym! I want to maximize participation and reduce down time.

My school's student body is very diverse and come from all walks of life!

83% of my students are economically disadvantaged and 22% of my students are English Language Learners. The multicultural mix of my students is what I love most about the students I teach!

My Project

I teach in a K-8 school so the variety of activities I teach are numerous. Both the lower and upper grade students will be able to utilize the scooters for scooter hockey. We will also be able to use the scooters in team relays and obstacle course challenges! This will also help me maximize participation in relays so that I have no more than 3 students in a group. Less waiting time means more activity time! I know the kids will absolutely love it!

This project will reach all 530 students I teach!

The addition of scooters will help us expand our comprehensive Physical Education program and ultimately help students getting active while learning at the same time!
