Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Scooters are a great way for students to work on their core strength, agility, and coordination. They can be used in fun relay races, scooter basketball, and scooter soccer. Movement concepts such as pull, push, force, and speed are easily taught with scooters as well as cooperative learning. For example, partners must work together pushing one another safely to a destination, or a team might have to figure out how to get their members across a river using their 'boat' and other supplies!

Your donation will help students learn these important movement concepts and increase their fitness all while having fun.

I picked this specific set because they are large enough for all grade levels with enough for each student. They also have built in protective barriers so students' fingers do not get hurt. The wheeled storage rack is also extremely helpful. I see classes in two different locations (the gym and the movement room), so this rolling rack will help me transport the scooters quickly and easily.
