My Students

We are a public school in Manhattan who serves grades pre-k-8 and opens our admissions to all 4 boroughs. At our school, we believe all children can learn and are naturally curious. Children want to make meaning of the world around them, and they do so in many, varied ways. When teachers provide clear, rigorous expectations, children will rise to meet the challenge. The school lays the groundwork to develop the skills and passion for a lifetime of learning.

Our students are encouraged to develop their voices and make choices.

We believe these skills are essential to success in school. Children learn best when their needs are met. When children feel physically and emotionally safe, are free from hunger or worry, and trust their teachers, they can do their best work.

Our teachers partner with students and their families in these pursuits. Building a community is essential to a successful school. Our physical education program is in its second year with a full-time certified teacher. Our current materials are either outdated or unavailable. We are looking to provide fun and safe activities for all our grades.

My Project

These scooters improve core strength and gross motor skills coordination, but more importantly, they'll provide hours of fun to students who might otherwise be shy about participating in physical education class.

Relays, cooperative games and so much more can be done with these scooters!

This project will make physical education exciting, accessible and enjoyable to all children. I look forward to seeing the smiles on their faces when I present your gift to them, and watching them take joy in fitness for years to come. Thank you for your help!
