There's a saying that everything you need to know, you learned in kindergarten. I teach a group of kindergartners who are eager to learn everything about the world around them. They are so excited when they finally master a new skill and are quick to point out a newly discovered concept as it shows up around them. They way they make connections is beyond impressive.
I get a huge sense of accomplishment when they are able to use counters to show me how they can combine groups to show addition or describe the similarities between the needs of animals and humans.
These books will help my students be able to study science through real world color photography. This will help support the current lessons we are doing in the classroom. The students will be able to use these books to connect their classroom learning at home.
The students will learn about their five senses, compare living and nonliving things, as well as, explore animals and plants.
The students will also use these books to guide them through weekly science inquiry projects based on their learning for the week. We will work on small group projects such as, comparison charts to summarize our learning.
