Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I want to make school a place my students want to come to, not have to. My students are truly my passion. These learners come from various types of homes, families, backgrounds, and have several different learning styles.

My teaching philosophy is to educate my students by doing and creating.

Nothing makes me happier as an educator than to see my students using their own innovation and ideas to grasp concepts.

As a STEM lab teacher, I would love to expand my science library with read aloud books that can be incorporated with our daily lessons.

My Project

I am a new STEM/Science Lab teacher. I would love to engage my students by starting majority of my lessons with a short read aloud book. This way the students will have background knowledge before we start our experiments. The books can also foster questions and lead to these students becoming independent thinkers. Science is often a forgotten subject in elementary school with the high demands of testing. I want to instill a love of science for my kiddos from a young age and these engaging and relevant books will help lead the way. Thank you in advance for your support!
