My Project

My goal for this project is to help my students learn about science in a fun way! Students are so easily distracted by all the things around them. Therefore, I wanted to keep them engaged by using materials they love!

Students are most focused when they are using interesting, engaging, and fun materials that they can make connections to.

Our next science unit is on Plant and Animal relationships. My students will use the plant legos to build skills such as compare and contrast, making observations, identifying plant parts and plant needs, leaf shape investigation, etc. They will continue to explore why plants are different and how they survive in different habitats.

My students will also use legos during SEL through role play, where they will learn how to work with others, show empathy, conflict resolution, share with others, take turns, and be responsible classroom citizens.

I can't wait to see how excited they will be when they see these new materials!
