My Students

My students are full of wonder and curiosity. They are constantly exploring the world around them and learning new things every day. Pre-K is all about hands-on learning and my students love to dig in with all their five senses.

My students come from all different types of backgrounds and cultures.

Many of them have little or no experience with the world around them. Their parents have limited resources and are unable to buy them educational toys to help them progress and succeed. Their main experience comes from my classroom and the trips I take them on.

Even after 17 years of teaching it still amazes me as I watch them grow and learn. Pre-K students have an amazing ability to soak in information. The growth in their maturity and learning is so rapid. The more we expose them to, the more they grow. The metamorphosis throughout the year is absolutely the most incredible sight I have ever seen.

My Project

Pre-K children learn through hands on exploration. They need to use all their five senses to help them learn about the world around them. My students become little scientist every time they pick up a new activity in the classroom. They begin to explore and question everything they see and touch.

My students will use these materials to help them gain a deeper meaning to the subjects we learn and the world around them.

When a child learns through hands on discovery and questioning they retain what they learn. They use that information and apply it to their future learning. These materials will encourage my students to be active learners.
