My Project

This project will help my sixth-grade students grow as readers, scientists, and creative thinkers. With blank journals, colorful markers, and fun washi tape, students will create personalized bullet journals to track their reading, reflect on science concepts, and express their learning in creative ways. These journals won’t just be for writing—they’ll be artistic, visual tools that allow students to organize their thoughts through diagrams, sketches, color coding, and creative layouts.

The addition of STEM-focused magazines will give students access to high-interest, age-appropriate science texts that spark curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world around them.

Topics like space, technology, ecosystems, and innovation will come alive through engaging articles that connect directly to what we’re learning in class.

By combining reading, science, and art, this project helps students make meaningful cross-curricular connections while also encouraging individuality and self-expression. It supports all types of learners and helps build skills in comprehension, critical thinking, and creativity—all while making learning fun and hands-on.
