This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever seen yourself on TV? Do you call all your friends and relatives to tell them to watch for you? Isn't it exciting?

I teach science to 5th grade students in a high poverty area in Pennsylvania.

My students are a diverse group including some with special needs and many who are English-as-a-second-language learners. My students are eager to learn, but prefer to do so in a fun and exciting way.

My Project

My students need 2 flip video cameras to help them create science projects and videos. These flip video cameras will enable students to create various science projects starring non other than themselves! How much fun will students have being the meteorologist, or creating a music video revolving around a science concept? Or simply finding examples of a science topic on a walk through the school?

Funding for this project will enable all of my students to be actively involved in their learning.

Students will love creating and viewing their projects. Don't you want to be a science star?
