My Students

Upper grade students visit Science Lab twice a week for an hour each time to explore with hands-on Science experiments and experiences. Students are able to take charge of their learning and experience the scientific world in a classroom where risks and exploration are welcome.

All 4th, 5th and 6th grades all have unique experiences in Science Lab with a wide variety of student needs.

My Project

The Q Ball is a portable, throwable microphone that is in a ball form. This classroom tool would allow students to be comfortable and confident while speaking with peers. Communication is key in our Science classroom. Students are learning how to effectively communicate their thoughts, opinions and ideas.

With the Q Ball, effective communication skills are taught: which is most powerful and effective tool we can teach our youth.

Our big focus this year in our classroom is sense-making with science concepts. Having this portable microphone in our class will engage students and encourage them to use their voice not only in the classroom, but in life.
