My Project

In my classroom, students with disabilities will engage with STEM through hands-on activities like puzzles, crafts, and grade-level reading materials designed to support diverse learning needs. Puzzles will help develop problem-solving skills and logical thinking while reinforcing math and science concepts in an interactive way. For example, students might piece together a life cycle puzzle to understand biology or use tangrams to explore geometric principles. These activities promote critical thinking and allow students to work at their own pace, ensuring that each child can grasp key STEM ideas in a way that suits their individual learning style.

Craft-based STEM projects will further enhance understanding by allowing students to build, create, and experiment.

Activities like designing simple machines with everyday materials, constructing bridges with craft sticks, or making paper circuits will provide tangible experiences that deepen comprehension.

Additionally, grade-level reading materials will introduce STEM vocabulary and concepts in an accessible way with visual supports, audiobooks, and simplified text when needed. By combining hands-on exploration with engaging reading resources, my students will develop a strong foundation in STEM while fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for learning.
