Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our class has been striving for calm and mindful learning in the classroom. Many students need to move their bodies while working, so flexible seating has helped them channel their energy. While using these seats, the hope is that the students will work cooperatively on research projects, including the study of life science topics.

Having science specimens to explore in detail, the students can develop a love of biology through interactions with actual creatures!

We have a lot of materials with photos of plants and animals, but working with actual specimens will enthuse my students even more.

The combination of science specimens and flexible seating will give my class the opportunity to learn even better in their home away from home.
